Payment and Fees

Therapy is an investment in your life, relationships, well-being as well as in your future.

How does payment and insurance work?  My regular fee is $75.00 for a 45-50 minute psychotherapy session or $125.00 for an extended session of 75-80 minutes.  I use the extended counseling sessions sometimes for an initial intake but most sessions are the regular time. For those who do not have insurance and cannot afford my fee, I will use a sliding scale on a limited basis for those who can verify their financial situation.

I will take payment directly from the following insurance companies and all you will be responsible for the co-payment: Aetna, MultiPlan, PPO Next, Beech Street, MHN, TriCare or Magna Care.  It is always good to check with your insurance about coverage with me, how much co-payment you will have to pay and how many visits you will be allowed.  For all other insurance companies, you should call and ask what they will pay for an Out-Of-Network Mental Health Counselor.  You will then pay me my regular fee and I will give you a bill that you can send to your insurance company for reimbursement.

However, some people choose not to use their insurance.  Even though we have laws governing the confidentiality of your records, some people would rather not have their diagnosis and possibly notes sent to insurance companies.

Which ever way you choose to pay, I will provide you a warm, supportive and safe environment for you to open up to allow growth and healing in your life.  Please give me at least 24 hours notice if you can not make an appointment or you will be charged the regular fee.
